Friendship

This poem is a revised version of a poem of the same name, written ages back when I was still in school. Read on and if you like it, do spread the word.

When in rainy noons, the breeze is warm,
And an aroma of sunshine on washed leaves,
Nurtures my heart;
There is a longing,
For you friend.

When the sky is dusky rose-pink,
And beams of gold break through;
The window by my side is open,
And it carries with it a nocturne;
I wish you are there.

With no idea what it means to the sun and stars,
I call you a friend,
Friendship, our bond.
