Wanderlust Poets

This is the second of the two poems written together with friends. Read the first one here – http://wp.me/p2SUSz-4Z (And many apologies for posting after such a long time…) Let us know how you liked it. 🙂

Try the mystic cup of happiness
Is there a hidden potion, tell me
One that takes you to wonderland!

Try the mystic path to a new destiny
Is there a hidden treasure, tell me
One that takes you to paradise!

They say,
In that land of dreamscape
You soar like birds,
Once caged forever
Now flying into eternity.

Into that white abyss,
Wings do not burn
But a kindling fire,
Of love, of desire
Sets you free from all agony.

And weaved with love
Fueled by desire,
The wings keep you going
‘Fly away solo’,
Their whispers fade into the air…

Oh! This melancholy existence of clouds
Drunk in thoughtful and gentle sadness,
Listening intently to those whispers
Shed tears of pain,
The cage, too, smiles…

Do the clouds have a story to tell?
I’ve seen them play hide and seek
With the birds in their own maze.
