A Short Poem About Anger

“A Short Poem About Anger” is the first of a series of poems (that is to come in the following days) – ‘Countless Emotions’.  (painting by Joshua Miels)

Looked for a surface
to Lay his fists on,
looked for a face
to Vent it upon

‘Why do they not understand!’ (thinking throughout)

And in the second second
Soaked Metal with
bloods of three friends
and had his, mixed with their’s
all over his palms

“Why do you not understand?”
rage took a shout…

High on adrenaline,
cocaine to his brain
fire in his brawn
he swung it hard,
swung it again;
tried hard to stop
tried to contain

war within, war without!

he was but a dying star
Had to explode
